A founding member of the Nashville Area and Tennessee Region Tiffany Circle, Barbara has been a dedicated American Red Cross donor and volunteer for over a decade. She is a National Chairman’s Council member and continues giving generously each year. In her years of service, Barbara has served as a Tiffany Circle National Council member, TC Steering Committee member, a TC Chapter Chair, and Co-Chair of the Tiffany Hall Campaign. She is a former Nashville Area Chapter Board member and formerly served as Tiffany Circle Chair of the Tennessee Region. She remains active as a divisional TC volunteer leader for SECAR, serving in an advisory capacity and is an active Torchbearer.
As a retired nurse, the history of the American Red Cross and the legacy of Clara Barton resonate deeply with Barbara. She has channeled her passion for helping others into fostering the growth of a powerful network of female humanitarians and philanthropists. Under Barbara’s leadership, the Tennessee Region’s Tiffany Circle has grown to more than 70 members, making it one of the largest and strongest in the nation. She maintains dual membership both in America and Great Britain. She serves on the Tiffany Circle International Council and was instrumental in the planning of the 2018 International Forum in Geneva.
In the world at large, when she is not volunteering for the Red Cross, Barbara is a passionate volunteer, philanthropist, and Board Member of other organizations such as: Cheekwood Estate & Gardens, Tennessee Performing Arts Center, Nashville Opera, American Museum & Gardens (UK), and is a World Fellow of the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Awards Program.
Barbara enjoys spending time with her family, especially her four grandchildren. They ground her and are the highlight of her life. She also enjoys traveling, reading, and gardening.
