
Laura Myerholtz is a humanitarian leader with over 25 years of volunteer service with the American Red Cross, spanning all five lines of service. Laura is a proud member of the Tiffany Circle and serves on the National Council in the North Central division representing the Illinois region. She currently serves in multiple high-impact volunteer roles at both the national and international levels, including as a Volunteer Partner to senior leaders at the American Red Cross and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC). Her work includes strategic planning, donor engagement, disaster response, and program development.
Laura brings a unique perspective to her service, combining operational knowledge with a passion for community engagement. She has engaged with the Tiffany Circle locally and nationally, contributing to membership growth, retention strategies, and event leadership. Her experience includes deployments for major disaster responses, leadership in philanthropic initiatives, and extensive work in volunteer training and process improvement. She was honored with the Wesbury Award for enhancing the visibility of the Red Cross in the community.
Professionally, Laura has a background in psychology and computer science from Oberlin College and has held roles in consulting, research, and higher education. She is also a former Boy Scout and Girl Scout leader, having led youth to achieve the highest ranks in both organizations. She is fluent in Spanish, has working knowledge of Catalan, and enjoys singing in a 90s cover band, road cycling, and international travel.
