Susie Trotochaud is a Founding member of the Tiffany Circle Metropolitan Atlanta (now known as the Georgia Region) and is a longtime volunteer for the American Red Cross. Since its inception, Susie has played a significant role in establishing the structure of the local Tiffany Circle in actively recruiting and retaining members. As a volunteer for the Red Cross, in addition to her work as a member of the Steering Committee and Chair of the Tiffany Circle, she has served multiple terms on the Board of Directors, in Marketing and Communications and Philanthropy Committees, as a Trainer in CPR and First Aid, and most importantly, as a lifelong blood and pheresis donor. For her work, Susie was previously recognized as Volunteer of the Year and Volunteer Fundraiser of the Year for the Metro Atlanta Chapter.
Throughout her career, Susie utilized her marketing skills to manage both for-profit and non-profit programs. Her volunteer work has concentrated on education, children’s health and community service.
“Of all of the nonprofits I have supported, the Red Cross has always been closest to my heart. Not only has it been in my life since I was a child, but it was there when my mother was in need, and it is has always been there for so many at their most desperate hour.”
In addition to her other volunteer work, Susie works full-time, pro bono, as the Executive Director of Usher 2020 Foundation, a nonprofit supporting scientific research to find and promote treatments for those going blind due to a rare disease called Usher syndrome. She is the proud mother/stepmother of five children, and grandmother of three. Susie and her husband live primarily in Atlanta, Georgia, and part-time in Naples, Florida. She enjoys spending time with family, exercising, traveling, reading books and listening to podcasts.
