Suzanne Garrett is not only a Bonnie McElveen-Hunter member of the Red Cross, but also a founding member of the Tiffany Circle Bay Area Chapter. The Red Cross, specifically Service to the Armed Forces, holds a special place in Suzanne’s heart. This program assisted her father when he needed to urgently travel home to her mother, who was ill at the time. Suzanne is most active in Disaster Services as a Disaster Co-Chair of the Contra Costa Territory and serves as a DAT Supervisor and the Pillowcase Lead. Suzanne also responds in person and virtually to disasters in the sheltering and recovery areas.
As a member of the Tiffany Circle, Suzanne enjoys learning more about the Red Cross, specifically from the speakers and visiting the command center in D.C. Tiffany Circle connects Suzanne to other like-minded women from all over the country and around the world.
When she is not volunteering in her community, Suzanne enjoys playing tennis, cooking and traveling. She also is a part time professor at University of California Berkeley Extension.
