Teresa “Teri” Pollitt has been a proud Tiffany Circle member for over 14 years, was a founding member of the Bay Area Tiffany Circle and is now a member of the Chairman’s Council. After living in the Bay Area in Northern California, Teri and her husband, Byron, relocated to the San Diego area in the spring of 2019. After the move, Teri joined the San Diego/Imperial Counties Chapter Board and became the founding member and Chair of the Tiffany Circle in San Diego. Board involvements include serving as Co-Chair of the Philanthropy Committee, Chair of the 2020 San Diego Real Heroes Awards event, as well as a member of the Service to the Armed Forces Focus Group. Teri has just begun her term as Vice Chair of the Chapter Board. She and her husband are regular blood donors.
In the past, she and her husband have been strong financial supporters of various Blood Services initiatives including the rare blood program and the purchase of a biomed vehicle to support local Chapter blood donation efforts. More recently, their donation is supporting the Hero Care Network, International Services, the San Diego Hug-a-Hero program and biomedical services in the Southern California Region. After the recent reorganization, Tiffany Circle leadership in the Southern California Chapters are now working together to form a Southern California Region to have a more significant impact and Teri is Co-Chair of this evolving group. In the future, Teri is hopeful that the Tiffany Circle Chapters in the Southern California Region can provide additional support to the Service to the Armed Forces since the Region serves one of the largest military populations in the country.
After attending the Tiffany Circle global summit in Geneva in 2018 and the 2019 summit in Washington DC, Teri is now fully engaged in her first term as a TCNC member and has served on the Diversity and Inclusion Task Force and as one of the Divisional Volunteer Liaisons for the Pacific Division, in addition to pursuing her interests in the Red Cross movement’s international efforts and growing the Tiffany Circle membership in San Diego and Southern California. Teri is currently serving as Co-Chair for the 2023 Tiffany Circle Summit, held in Washington DC.
Prior to her current involvement with the Red Cross, Teri was a financial executive with an investment counsel firm where she retired as a Vice President of Equity Research. She has over forty years of volunteer service with non-profits at both the local and national levels. Teri currently serves on the Board of Trustees for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and the University of California, Riverside. Formerly, she has served in senior leadership roles with the National Board of National Charity League, the Junior League, and her public school district and foundation.
Teri earned a BA in Psychology from the University of California, an MBA from the University of Southern California, and the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) credential. When she is not volunteering with the Red Cross or other Board commitments, Teri and her husband enjoy traveling.
