Meaghan Silsby is a seasoned fundraising and nonprofit leader, currently serving as Executive Director of the Lowcountry Chapter, a role she began in April 2025. In this role, she leads strategic initiatives and oversees community impact across all Red Cross services in the Lowcountry.
Prior to joining the Red Cross, Meaghan served as Executive Director of the USS Yorktown Foundation, where she led major growth in fundraising, strategic partnerships, and board development. Her career in nonprofit leadership extends to national organizations, including City Year Washington, D.C., the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington, and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, where she oversaw community partnerships, cultivated strategic relationships, and managed multimillion-dollar fundraising campaigns.
Meaghan is a proud graduate of the College of Charleston and holds a Master’s in Nonprofit Management from Columbia University. Meaghan lives in Mount Pleasant with her fiancé, Billy, and their dog, Finn. She enjoys beach days, exploring new restaurants, Pilates, and soaking up the sunshine, always with a good cup of coffee in hand.
