Youth and Young Adults
The American Red Cross Missouri & Arkansas Region is supported by a strong and growing network of more than 30 Red Cross Clubs (both high school & college levels) and more than 500 individuals volunteering in many of the Red Cross lines of service. Our Youth & Young Adult Program engages individuals ages 13–24 in meaningful service by empowering them to address community needs at the local, national, and international levels through leadership development, education, and service opportunities.
While opportunities for volunteers under 18 are more limited, we’re happy to offer engaging opportunities that allow younger volunteers to get involved and develop essential service and leadership skills. All Red Cross volunteers must register online through our volunteer platform, Volunteer Connection. Participants under 18 are required to have parent or guardian consent prior to beginning their Red Cross experience, and volunteers ages 18 and older must complete a background check.
