About the Outreach
Across six walks, volunteers reached 911 homes throughout Southern Arizona. When residents were home, teams had direct conversations about heat safety and available resources. When no one answered, volunteers left behind safety information to ensure households still received key materials.
This work could not have been done without the help of our partners: Medical Reserve Corps of Southern Arizona, Basis Tucson North, Basis Oro Valley, Casa Poder Moviles, COAD of Southern Arizona, Pima County Health Department, University of Arizona College of Nursing, Northern Arizona University College of Nursing, Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health, and Pima County Administrators' Office.
