Youth and Young Adults in the Arizona and New Mexico Region of the American Red Cross have several ways to get involved. Some join Red Cross Clubs at their high schools, colleges, or universities. Others engage through community-based youth groups, taking part in service projects and regional events outside of their school. There are also individual opportunities available for those who prefer to contribute on their own.
Being a Red Crosser builds character and provides the tools and experience needed for attaining strong leadership, communication, and community service skills, all while working to accomplish the Red Cross mission.
All Youth and Young Adult volunteers must register online, and for those under the age of 18, must receive consent from their parent or guardian before starting their journey with the organization.
Red Cross Clubs are officially recognized organizations on school campuses led by middle school, high school, and college students. Club members serve their community through service, education, and leadership as volunteers of the American Red Cross. Red Cross Clubs participate in activities that align with the Red Cross’s humanitarian mission by holding regular service projects and leadership training throughout the school year to benefit members and their community.
All Red Cross Clubs work with the support and guidance of their local chapter office and collaborate with all five Lines of Service to plan and execute service projects and fundraising events.
