SACRAMENTO, CA, September 26, 2020 – The Red Cross is joining other service providers at a Local Assistance Center (LAC) set up to offer recovery assistance to those impacted by the Zogg Fire. The LAC is a centralized location where various humanitarian organizations and government agencies provide information on available recovery assistance resources.
The Center is open October 14 through October 21 from 10am-7pm at the Shasta District Fairgrounds and Event Center at 1890 Briggs Street, Anderson, CA. The Red Cross is distributing clean-up supplies and have trained Disaster Mental Health and Spiritual Care Volunteers on site. Information will also be available on how residents can access additional Red Cross disaster relief and recovery assistance.
Residents should bring with them a photo ID, information on their household income and any insurance documents. To protect from the spread of COVID19, health and safety protocols are in place at the LAC including social distancing, face coverings for staff and the public, health screenings for anyone entering the facility and facility sanitization.
