Around the clock, every day of the year, our chapter stands ready to respond to emergencies. At every disaster, a volunteer or staff member assesses the victims' needs and provides food, clothing, and shelter and other services to help families take the first steps to recovery.
At the American Red Cross we consider you our partner in providing a safe and adequate blood supply to the patients who need it. As our partner, we are concerned about your good health and making blood donation a positive experience.
Obtain life-saving knowledge and skills designed to keep you prepared in the event of an emergency, with the latest health and safety training techniques and certification programs. Our comprehensive courses include Lifeguarding, First Aid and Basic Life Support Instruction for Healthcare Providers.
Service to Armed Forces provides emergency messaging, financial support, mental health support and information services to military members, veterans and their families. The organization assists military families with communications, financial aid and offers training and other services and resources to individuals throughout Connecticut.
The Red Cross of Maine works within the global network of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies to locate lost family members or deliver messages between people who have been disconnected due to war, crisis or disaster. The Red Cross of Connecticut also works to provide assistance to global disasters like the earthquakes in Haiti or the tsunami in Japan.
