SAVANNAH, Ga. (April 15, 2026) — To better serve communities across Southeast Georgia, the American Red Cross is pleased to announce the grand opening of a newly renovated, unified and sustainable facility that will serve as the chapter’s central hub for community access, emergency response and lifesaving services.
Located at 2500 E. President Street in Savannah, the remodeled facility reflects the Red Cross commitment to sustainability and operational efficiency by consolidating two locations into a single, renovated site. The 11,820 square foot space will be multifunctional: Humanitarian Services and chapter operations (25%), Blood Services staging (26%), Blood Services and Disaster Cycle Services (49%).
The facility is designed to strengthen collaboration, honor donors and strengthen community resilience.

The newly renovated operations center will serve as a premier Red Cross facility in southeast Georgia, supporting the organization’s mission while fostering community engagement, collaboration and disaster response, and honoring its legacy of service.

From floods and hurricanes to home fires and public health emergencies, the organization remains a trusted partner in times of need. Supported by more than 330 volunteers, the Southeast Georgia Chapter provides services across Appling, Brantley, Bryan, Bulloch, Camden, Candler, Charlton, Chatham, Effingham, Evans, Glynn, Liberty, Long, McIntosh, Montgomery, Tattnall, Toombs and Wayne counties.
