DUBLIN, Ga., March 6, 2025 — The American Red Cross of Georgia is excited to open a new location for its South Central Georgia Chapter at 1825 Veterans Blvd., Suite 6, Dublin, Georgia. To celebrate, the Red Cross is hosting a grand opening and open house on March 13, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
“I’m truly excited for staff and volunteers to utilize our new office and enjoy a space where we can collaborate and share memorable experiences,” said South Central Georgia Executive Director Jackie Shoemaker. “I’m grateful that we have an area where we can continue in our mission to take care of our neighbors when they need it most.” Shoemaker has held the position of Executive Director for more than two years at the Red Cross. The chapter encompasses 25 counties, and its central office is located in Valdosta, Georgia.
The new Dublin office is located directly across from Carl Vinson VA Medical Center where the Red Cross provides Service to the Armed Forces support and also holds regular blood drives.
The Red Cross plays a crucial role in our community and all over the country, providing humanitarian aid during times of crisis and disaster relief efforts. Our mission to alleviate human suffering and promote safety and preparedness resonates deeply with our community values. In 2024, our Red Cross volunteers responded to over 270 disasters in the South Central Georgia Chapter, including home fires. They helped nearly 1,800 people after those events in the 25 area counties.
“Our volunteers are the heart of our mission and serve all of our counties across the state with such compassion and care,” said Alicia Doherty, Regional Executive for the American Red Cross of Georgia. “We are excited to have a new office in Dublin to help support those efforts.”
The South Central Georgia Chapter is one of eight chapters in the Georgia region. For more information, visit redcross.org/georgia.
