Romeoville, IL - The American Red Cross of the Illinois River Valley is pleased to announce Brian McDaniel as the chapter’s new executive director.
Prior to joining the American Red Cross, McDaniel was Deputy Treasurer and Chief Investment Officer for Will County Treasurer’s office, where he worked closely with banking partners to implement treasury solutions for the public and county agencies.
“Brian’s experience in public service and his commitment to the community will be a great asset to further strengthen the work of the Red Cross in the Illinois River Valley, which covers six counties,” said Celena Roldán, chief executive officer of the American Red Cross of Chicago & Northern Illinois. “He is a great addition to our leadership team as he has first-hand experience with the Red Cross mission through his work as a volunteer for more than 30 years,” added Roldán.
McDaniel has experience in disaster assessment, mass care and shelter management. He has also completed courses at FEMA’s Emergency Management Institute in Emmitsburg, Maryland.
“I am excited to join the American Red Cross, a humanitarian organization committed to help people in times of need. An organization driven by dedicated volunteers who without hesitation go to where they are needed the most,” said McDaniel.
McDaniel has a bachelor’s degree in Economics, and holds two master’s degrees, in Accounting and Business Administration from Benedictine University.
