From multiple major hurricanes and tropical storms in the south to devastating wildfires in much of the west, back-to-back massive disasters have kept thousands of Red Cross volunteers working tirelessly for weeks across the country to provide food, shelter and comfort to thousands of people in need.
Dawn Morris, executive director of the American Red Cross Serving South Central Illinois, is joining hundreds of Red Cross workers in Oregon who are assisting in relief efforts, both on the ground and virtually.
Morris will be serving as an Elected Official Liaison, establishing relationships and maintaining consistent contact with all elected, high level appointed public officials and assisting with Red Cross operation efforts.
Interview Availability: Dawn Morris is available for virtual interviews during her deployment. Please contact Drew Brown (309) 339-5104 to coordinate.
B-Roll: Access Oregon Wildfires b-roll here.
The American Red Cross is there to help those affected by these massive and widespread fires, and will continue to assist residents as they figure out next steps in their recovery.
