Teach Your Family Home Fire Safety
Volunteers with our Disaster Action Team responded to four home fires in Freeport and Rockford from February 15 through today.
In the last week, volunteers with the American Red Cross provided a temporary place to stay to 11 individuals, including six adults and five children. In addition, our volunteers provided health services, disaster mental health, financial services, and information about recovery planning to those impacted.
During the winter and as temperatures drop, there is an increase in home fires. Help keep your family safe by following these tips:
