Dave Stoner will depart to Louisiana tomorrow (Wednesday, September 1) from General Wayne A. Downing Peoria International Airport to help communities affected by Hurricane Ida.
Dave will be joining more than 20 Illinois Region volunteers already deployed to assist with relief efforts.
Some 450 trained Red Cross workers are on the ground now with hundreds more traveling from all over the country to help.
For the American Red Cross, our work is just beginning. Right now, we are focused on providing safe shelter, meals and comfort for people in need. Monday night, more than 1,500 people sought refuge in some 38 Red Cross and community shelters across Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Texas.
You can help people affected by disasters like storms and countless other crises by making a gift to Red Cross Disaster Relief. Your gift is a commitment to helping people in need, and every single donation matters.
