The American Red Cross of Greater Chicago is proud to announce the addition of Ryan Dusek of Nicor Gas to its board of directors.
“The board of directors for the Greater Chicago chapter is comprised of a dedicated team of leaders committed to sharing expertise, guidance, vision and support of the Red Cross mission,” stated Mark Thomas, interim chief executive officer of the American Red Cross of Illinois. “We're grateful for Ryan’s dedication and look forward to his continued support in the ongoing stewardship of the mission of the Red Cross.”
Ryan Dusek is the vice president of System Operations at Southern Company Gas, the parent company of Nicor Gas and a wholly owned subsidy of Southern Company (NYSE: SO). Ryan is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the gas transmission and pressure operations across the four local distribution companies that serve 4.3 million natural gas customers in Georgia, Illinois, Tennessee and Virginia.
Ryan has worked in the natural gas industry for 24 years and has held roles of increasing responsibility in Construction Operations, Field Operations, Transmission and System Operations.
Ryan holds a degree in mechanical engineering from Bradley University. In his free time, he and his wife enjoy cheering their two children on at swim meets, water polo games and dance competitions.
The American Red Cross of Greater Chicago’s volunteer board includes more than 30 civic and corporate leaders from a range of professional backgrounds for the Greater Chicago chapter that serves 7.7 million people in 5 counties.
