The Greater Indianapolis Chapter of the American Red Cross is proud to announce the addition of three new members to the board of directors: Matt Albrecht, Ivory Salmon, and Tom Walsh.
Matt Albrecht is the Senior Vice President of Finance and Controller for Pacers Sports & Entertainment (PS&E). He oversees all financial activities to ensure accurate and meaningful financial reporting for management and ownership of PS&E.
Before joining PS&E, he was a Controller/Accounting Manager/Staff Accountant for National Wine & Spirits. In this position, he oversaw Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. During his tenure, he helped establish new office locations in Michigan, a new accounting system for a bottled water company, created financial process manuals, and enhanced the accounting department's internal controls.
He served on the Concord Neighborhood Center Finance Committee as Treasurer for many years and currently serves on the Board of Directors.
Matt, who lives in Indianapolis, has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from Ball State University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Ivory Salmon is currently the Vice President, Business Banking Relationship Manager at Key Bank. In this role, she advocates for and provides financial resources for mid-sized companies across the state of Indiana. This includes capital resources used to fund commercial real estate, business acquisitions, franchise start-ups, leasehold improvements, and equipment. Ivory’s unique approach as a consultative advocate for her clients differentiates her in the marketplace. She does this by providing customizable industry vertical-specific recommendations to her clients.
Ivory has more than 19 years of financial service experience, namely in Retail, Investment and Business Banking. She also leads Key Bank’s Key4Women program for Central Indiana and is a committee member for Key Bank’s National Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion program. Ivory has held various leadership roles in financial institutions such as Bank of America and JP Morgan Chase. She has been nationally recognized for her leadership and service in the community.
Ivory graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago where she majored in Business Administration.
Tom Walsh is a partner at Ice Miller LLP. In this role, he advises new companies and established businesses on corporate and technology issues, licensing, and strategic business transactions, with a particular focus on technology transactions in the life sciences and information technology fields. He is also a patent attorney registered to practice before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office and has experience in patent prosecution in a variety of technology areas.
Prior to joining Ice Miller LLP, Tom worked as an engineer in the military electronics field. He held several engineering and management positions for the Department of Defense and Raytheon Corporation, including manufacturing engineer, manufacturing production manager, and software engineer.
Tom earned a bachelor’s in industrial engineering from Purdue University, an M.B.A. from Indiana University Kelley School of Business, and a J.D. from the Indiana University McKinney School of Law.
Tom has served as a board member and advisor for numerous organizations, including A Kid Again, Boiler Business Exchange and Providence Cristo Rey High School, among others.
The American Red Cross of Greater Indianapolis’ volunteer board includes more than 25 civic and corporate leaders from a range of professional backgrounds, and it serves five counties across the Greater Indianapolis area.
