The Greater Indianapolis Chapter of the American Red Cross Indiana Region is pleased to announce the appointment of Brad Woodward as the chairperson of its board of directors.
Brad Woodward, MD, is the Senior Vice President of Global Patient Safety at Eli Lilly and Company. During his career, he has held a variety of roles in drug development and medical affairs.
Woodward joined the Greater Indianapolis board in 2017 and has been an advocate for the organization during outreach activities in the community. He previously chaired the Board Governance Committee and Biomedical Services Committee for the Greater Indianapolis Chapter.
“Brad has been a great asset on our board and will be a strong leader as our board chair,” said Terry Stigdon, chief executive officer for the American Red Cross Indiana Region. “He is committed to our lifesaving mission and we’re grateful for his service and dedication.”
Woodward will step into the role previously held by Genevieve Shaker of Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy.
The American Red Cross of Greater Indianapolis volunteer board includes more than 25 civic and corporate leaders from a range of professional backgrounds and serves five counties across the Greater Indianapolis area. A full list of members can be found here.
