INDIANAPOLIS, January 25, 2024 — The Greater Indianapolis Chapter of the American Red Cross is proud to announce the addition of two new members to the board of directors, Dr. Toni Williams and Charles Dunlap.
Toni Williams is the Provost and Executive Vice President of Academic Affairs at Martin University and has worked in education for 19 years. A firm believer in the power of volunteerism, Dr. Williams has served in several capacities throughout her professional career, including several years in schools with a high population of socioeconomically disadvantaged students, conducting organizational research that focused on bringing awareness to the educational gap of GED and Adult High School Learners, and in 2020, she helped train public school teachers as they transitioned to online learning because of the COVID pandemic. She was given a plaque for her volunteer work by (former) Governor of North Carolina Beverly Purdue.
Dr. Williams holds an Ed.D. in Leadership and Management from St. Thomas University, a master’s degree in English from Fort Hays State University, a bachelor’s degree in English from Thomas Edison State University, and an associate’s degree in Education from Burlington County College. In her free time, Dr. Williams enjoys writing and spending time with her family.
