This summer, Henderson first responders are joining forces for a friendly competition to help patients who rely on lifesaving blood transfusions. The community is invited to donate blood and vote for their favorite department at the first Henderson Battle of the Badges Blood Drive, as the Henderson Police Department competes against the Henderson Fire Department on Wednesday, June 4, from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the City of Henderson Municipal Service Center.
This Battle of the Badges Blood Drive serves as a fun, yet meaningful reminder of the importance and impact of blood donations. Donors can show their support by voting for their favorite department and the winner will be declared at the end of the drive.
The Red Cross depends on the generosity of donors to help ensure patients receive the care they need and deserve. First responders see the constant need for blood firsthand, as they respond to emergencies in their community. Through this blood drive, community members have the opportunity to give back and make a difference with their donation.
