The American Red Cross Indiana Region is pleased to announce Nettie Wilson, MSN, RN, as its new chief operating officer. Wilson will assume her new position on August 19 and will be based out of the regional headquarters in Indianapolis. In this capacity, she will oversee the day-to-day operations of the staff and volunteers within the Indiana Region.

“We are thrilled to welcome Nettie Wilson to the American Red Cross,” said Terry Stigdon, CEO of the Indiana Region. “Nettie’s dedication to excellence, efficiency, and service will be invaluable as we advance our work in the community.”

Wilson brings 18 years of nursing experience and spent the last seven years as clinical operations manager at Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health. In this role, she led the Emergency Department and Pediatric Forensic Nursing teams.

“I’m excited to join the Indiana Region team and support the ongoing efforts to make our communities safer and more resilient,” said Wilson.

She holds a Master of Science in Nursing Leadership and Management from Western Governors University, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Indiana State University and an Associate of Science in Nursing from Vincennes University.
