The American Red Cross invites community members to attend the Columbus Red Cross Rally on Thursday, June 18 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Bespoke, located at 412 Washington Street, Columbus, Indiana.
The rally will allow attendees to meet and speak with Red Cross team members about blood donation, disaster response, support to our Armed Forces, how to prepare for emergencies, and more. Community members will also learn about the Red Cross Home Fire Campaign, which provides free smoke alarm installations and fire safety education to help reduce home fires deaths and injuries.
Columbus Red Cross Rally Program
The Rally will begin at 4:00 p.m. with welcoming remarks, followed by the City of Columbus presentation of a proclamation honoring the Red Cross at 4:30 p.m. Mike Wilson, firefighter and Public Information Officer for the Columbus Fire Department, will give presentations at 5:15 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
Throughout the event, attendees will be able to view an emergency response vehicle up close. These vehicles are used by Red Cross teams during disaster responses to distribute meals and emergency supplies.
This rally also offers residents a chance to learn how they can make a meaningful difference by volunteering or taking steps to keep their own families safe.
The event is free and open to the public. Food and drinks are available for purchase from the venue.
