The American Red Cross Indiana Region has received a $100,000 donation from the Carson and Rosemary Noecker Family Foundation. This financial gift will support Hurricanes Milton and Helene relief efforts and volunteering training and deployments in Allen County, Indiana.
“We are grateful to the Carson and Rosemary Noecker Family Foundation for their generous support of our lifesaving mission,” said Terry Stigdon, regional chief executive officer of the Indiana Region Red Cross. “This gift helps ensure we’re prepared to help communities and families impacted by disaster and that our volunteers are ready to respond at a moment’s notice.”
In the aftermath of Hurricanes Helene and Milton, the Red Cross has helped thousands of people coping with profound destruction across the Southeast. The Red Cross responds to about 65,000 disasters each year, and volunteers provide food, shelter, relief supplies and comfort during what can be the worst days of people’s lives.
In 2024, 22 Red Crossers from Allen County deployed to assist communities impacted by disasters, locally and across the country. Thanks to in-person and virtual Red Cross trainings, disaster volunteers are empowered to make a difference. After disasters, volunteers are prepared to conduct damage assessment, provide comfort and a safe place to stay to those impacted, connect people with resources, help families as they begin the road to recovery and more.
Through this financial gift, the Carson and Rosemary Noecker Family Foundation will help provide hope to those affected by disasters.
