Would you like to make a difference in your community? You can be there for others when needed most by volunteering with our Disaster Action Team (DAT). We invite you to join us on February 1st in Harrisburg to attend a disaster response training!
During this one-day training, individuals will learn the necessary skills required to respond in the immediate aftermath of a disaster. Trainees will learn about the various aspects of local disaster response, including handling casework and assisting families. Certified and experienced instructors who are members of the American Red Cross Disaster Action Team will provide step-by-step information to those in attendance. No experience is necessary to sign up.

Volunteers make up 90 percent of the Red Cross workforce. Our disaster volunteers are trained to respond and assist those impacted by local and national disasters, including home fires, floods, tornadoes, hurricanes and more.
