Why Learn CPR?
Sudden cardiac arrest can happen to anyone at any time, often without warning. In fact, 70% of cardiac arrests happen outside of hospitals in the U.S. each year. While it primarily occurs in adults, more than 300,000 people die as a result of cardiac arrest every year in the United States. Having lifesaving skills and training can go a long way to keeping your loved ones safe in the event of cardiac arrest, as every minute that defibrillation is delayed, the person’s chance of survival is reduced by 10%.
