Crowning a collaboration that has existed since 2007, the American Red Cross of Massachusetts was among the recipients of Boston Cares Community Partner Collective Impact Award at their annual reception recognizing 100+ outstanding volunteers and partners on October 20, 2016.

Boston Cares is the largest volunteer action center in New England. The American Red Cross of Massachusetts Food Pantry has consistently been a favorite volunteer opportunity for the Boston Cares volunteer community.

Receiving the award on behalf of the American Red Cross was Sharon Curry, a passionate member of the Food and Nutrition Programs staff.

The American Red Cross and Boston Cares partnership dates to 2007. Since that time, the Red Cross food pantry has benefited from more than 20,000 hours of service by Boston Cares volunteers.

In 2010 the American Red Cross was awarded Boston Cares Outstanding Community Partnership Award.
