MEDFORD, Mass., October 4, 2024 — The American Red Cross is proud to recognize DraftKings for its donation of $250,000 which will help ensure that our staff and volunteers have the supplies and tools needed to help the tens of thousands of people affected by Hurricane Helene in the Southeastern United States.

Hurricane Helene has caused widespread damage across hundreds of miles, leaving a lasting impact on communities. In response, the American Red Cross has mobilized more than 1,000 disaster responders who are working tirelessly with partners to provide essential support. Our immediate focus is offering safe shelter, meals, emotional support, and relief supplies to those affected in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, and South Carolina. Tens of thousands of homes have been impacted, with entire communities still isolated due to flooding and damaged infrastructure. Approximately 1.7 million customers, affecting nearly 5 million people, remain without power.
