We both fell in love with the idea of starting a club that would be able to benefit our community and surrounding areas.
In search for a meaningful way to give back to their community, Brighton High School freshmen Paige Osgood and Erin Raby took the opportunity and initiative to establish Michigan’s newest Red Cross Club. “We both fell in love with the idea of starting a club that would be able to benefit our community and surrounding areas,” said Paige – and the pair are doing that in fine form!
The club just completed a “Change for Change” fundraiser where they asked fellow students to donate their spare change. The creative effort was a resounding success and an impressive $500 was raised to help Red Cross disaster relief efforts. Upcoming club projects include a “Totes for Hope” collection drive in February, which will provide comfort care kits to veterans through the Ann Arbor Veteran Affairs medical facility.
