KALAMAZOO (March 7, 2026) – The American Red Cross is assisting residents who wereimpacted by devastating tornadoes that struck southwest Michigan Friday. TheRed Cross is also working closely with its community partners and emergencyresponders in areas that were affected to assess community needs and how it can help.
The Red Cross has opened a shelter at Riverside Church, 207 E. Michigan Ave., in Three Rivers. Anyone affected by the storms is welcome to stop by for a hot meal, to charge their phone or get other support.
Red Cross volunteers are alsodistributing cleanup kits to residents in Cass County. These kits include abucket, mop, broom, sponge, gloves and cleaning supplies.
Residents who were impacted can call1-800-RED CROSS for assistance and information.
