Michelle Gallagher
TRAVERSE CITY (Sept. 20, 2022) – The American Red Cross Michigan Region has named Michelle Gallagher as the executive director of its Northern Michigan Chapter in Traverse City. The position is part of the region’s leadership team.
“Michelle is a warm and engaging leader and brings a passion for helping others,” said Mary Lynn Foster, regional chief executive officer. “Our Northern Chapter will be well positioned under Michelle’s guidance to advance our mission in the communities we serve.”
As executive director, Gallagher will serve as the community liaison for the Northern Chapter, which covers 21 counties in the northern Lower Peninsula and seven in the Upper Peninsula. It is one of six Red Cross Chapters across Michigan. Gallagher will provide support to the Red Cross’ vast network of services in the chapter including disaster, blood, training and volunteer services and helping members of the military, veterans and their family members.
She joins the Red Cross from Hospice of Michigan where she most recently served as philanthropy manager. Before that, Gallagher was the community impact director for the United Way of Northwest Michigan. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Marketing and Advertising/Promotions from Davenport University. Gallagher is also a graduate of the Leadership Cadillac Program.
