DETROIT (April 19, 2026) – As warmer temperatures approach and outdoor activities return, the American Red Cross encourages blood donors to make and keep appointments in the coming weeksto keep the blood supply stable to help all patients in need of vital care.
Donors of all blood types are needed. Maintaining a reliable blood supply is essential for all patients, especially those with chronic and acute conditions such as sickle cell disease and cancer.
For the second time this year, the Red Cross will host a two-day blood drive with longtime partner Gardner White Furniture on Tuesday, April 21, and Thursday, April 23. Blood drives will be held at Gardner White stores in southeast Michigan, Saginaw, and locations in Cadillac, Mt. Pleasant and Owosso.
Donors who come in to give will each receive a $50 coupon toward a Gardner White purchase of $399 or more and be entered to win a $500 Gardner White gift certificate. Donors who come to give through April 30 will receive a $15 e-gift card to a merchant of choice.
Here are three ways to make an appointment to donate. Use code gardnerwhite.

Tuesday, April 21, 11:30 a.m. – 5:15 p.m.
