Elvis Duran and the Morning Show, an American syndicated weekday morning radio program hosted by Elvis Duran on Z100 New York, sponsored their fifth annual blood drive in Jersey City on November 4, collecting 44 units of lifesaving blood. The Morning Show encouraged blood donations, recognizing that every two seconds someone in the United States needs blood.
Kim Goetz, interim CEO, American Red Cross New Jersey Region said, “We appreciate Elvis Duran and the Morning Show and Z100 New York for stepping forward to help patients in need by sharing the importance of blood and platelet donations.”
Elvis Duran and the Morning Show offered presenting donors at the blood drive the opportunity for one lucky donor to win two (2) premium tickets to the 2025 Jingle Ball at Madison Square Garden. Canopy by Hilton generously added a complimentary stay for that lucky donor. The Z100 promotional team was also on site, allowing blood donors to spin the prize wheel for Elvis Duran and the Morning Show and Z100 swag.
The Red Cross is grateful for the generosity of the Canopy by Hilton Jersey City providing a comfortable and convenient space for the blood drive. It served as a perfect setting for volunteer donors to roll up their sleeves to help patients in need.
Donors of all blood types – particularly type O blood donors, the most needed blood group by hospitals – and platelet donors are needed daily to meet demand.
