Central & Northern New York Chapter
Together, these chapters serve a population of more than 3.6 million people across 27 counties and more than 51,000 square miles. The region operates with the support of a small group of paid staff and 1,725 dedicated volunteers.
For more than a century, people across Eastern New York have been able to depend on the Red Cross to provide relief for disaster victims, health and safety training, support for members of the military and a safe and stable blood supply.
Responded to nearly 700 home fires and other disasters, helping more than 1,000 families.
Installed about 4,000 free smoke alarms, making nearly 1,400 households safer.
Supported by 2,000 active volunteers contributing over 150,000 hours of service.
Delivered nearly 4,700 services for military members, veterans and their families.
Trained more than 50,000 people in health and safety skills.
Distributed over 100,000 blood products collected at nearly 4,800 blood drives.
