Fort Drum Dental Health Activity and the American Red Cross are seeking highly motivated individuals who are interested in pursuing an exciting and rewarding career in the dental field.

Interviews begin: AUGUST 24-28, 2026

The curriculum and clinical instruction are taught on Fort Drum, where students will receive didactic and hands-on training alongside the military’s highest caliber providers.

Course Dates: SEPTEMBER 28, 2026 – APRIL 16, 2027

Applicants must be:

• At least 18 years of age
• US military member dependent
• US resident, or permanent US resident three years of program start

Available to active-duty military, reserve and guard units, all types of separated and retired veterans, and families (dependent and non-dependent).

 Our free Reconnection Workshops utilize small-group discussions and interactive activities to help participants connect with group members and better understand how they can reconnect with themselves, their families, their peers and their communities throughout the military career.

Small groups of 4-12 adults or 4-10 children encourage discussion and skills-building activities.

Adult Topics Available:

3. Trauma Talk
4. Emotional Grit (includes a section on suicide)
5. Connecting with Kids
6. Defusing Anger
7. Caregivers of Wounded, Ill and Injured Service Members and Veterans

Children’s Topics Available (*ages 5-8 accompanied by a trusted adult, 8-12,12-18):

Coping with Deployments is a Psychological First Aid (PFA) course that coaches participants through improving their psychological resilience and supporting others through PFA actions.

There are two versions of this course:

1. Introduction to Psychological First Aid and Resiliency for Adults: This course teaches adults how to recognize their own strengths and build resilience in other adults. 
2. Using Psychological First Aid and Building Resilience in Military Children: This course teaches adults how to build resilience in military children.

Mind-Body Workshops utilize small-group discussions and hands-on practice of stress reducing exercises that aim to help participants learn about the mind-body connection, gain self-insight, and improve personal wellness.

Flexible, 45-minute workshop that teaches simple movement-based mindfulness and relaxation techniques. Designed for large groups and adaptable to many settings, the workshop is tailored for both individuals and families.
