Danielle Anderson has been a strong supporter of the Red Cross in the Mid-Hudson Valley for many years. She is a former board member and past chair of the chapter’s annual fundraising event, and she has remained a critical partner to the Red Cross in her role as president of the Mid-Hudson Civic Center. This fall, Danielle opened the doors of the Civic Center to help the Red Cross provide emergency shelter to residents displaced by the Rip Van Winkle apartment fire in the City of Poughkeepsie. The Red Cross is pleased to be able to honor Danielle for her leadership, dedication, and incredible commitment to the community.
Since February 2016, Danielle has served as President of the Mid-Hudson Civic Center, which operates three facilities: Mid Hudson Civic Center, Ice Time Sports Arena, and Sugar Loaf Performing Arts Center. Danielle earned a B.S. degree from Utica College of Syracuse University and an A.S. from Dutchess County Community College. Throughout her career, she has been affiliated with numerous community organizations, including DC 10-13, Our Lady of Lourdes, and the Mizzentop Day School. A community-minded leader, Danielle is committed to making the Mid Hudson Civic Center the heart of Poughkeepsie. A resident of Pawling, Danielle is a dedicated wife and loving mother of four.
Danielle will be honored at An Evening With Your Local Red Cross – a signature event featuring gourmet cuisine, open bar, and unique entertainment – on Thursday, May 10 at The Grandview in Poughkeepsie. All proceeds from this evening will support the lifesaving mission of the American Red Cross of the Mid-Hudson Valley, which serves nearly 600,000 people across Ulster, Dutchess, Greene and Columbia counties.
