The American Red Cross Northwestern Pennsylvania Chapter presented Michael Bova, Erie Insurance’s Director of Enterprise Safety and Health and Red Cross Board Vice Chair, with the Metcalf Award during the annual Hero Awards Reception held in The Hemingway Lounge at the Ambassador Banquet and Conference Center in Erie on Wednesday, April 18. Bova earned the award for his extraordinary service to the Red Cross.

The evening, which featured an awards presentation, a reception, and a buffet, also recognized Erie Insurance as this year’s Centennial Hero recipient, Jet-24, FOX-66, and YourErie.com as the Corporate Hero Award recipient, and Millcreek Township Emergency Management as the recipient of the Community Hero Award.
