The American Red Cross in Rhode Island offers a variety of free programs to help children, adults, and organizations better prepare for emergencies.
The Red Cross helps families reduce the risk of home fires by providing fire safety education, helping households create escape plans and identifying ways to make their homes safer. Fill out the form below to request an appointment.
Prepare with Pedro is a 30- to 45-minute preparedness education program for grades K-2 that teaches students how to "be prepared" and "take action" for home fires, a local hazard, or health safety like washing your hands.

Be Red Cross Ready is a preparedness education curriculum for adults designed to help people understand, prepare for, and respond appropriately to disasters. The curriculum has the option to mix and match emergency preparedness modules on relevant local hazards for your community.

Hands-Only CPR is a free, easy to learn 30-minute presentation designed to teach individuals of all ages how to deliver lifesaving CPR care without rescue breaths. Completing a Hands-Only CPR course does not result in CPR certification.
