After severe flooding across the state, the Red Cross offered safe shelter to affected families, providing meals, snacks, and partnering with community groups to connect residents with long-term recovery resources.
In March, around 200 volunteers attended our annual Disaster Training Institute. They participated in a variety of trainings to ensure our teams are ready to help in times of need, both here in Rhode Island and across the country.

Let’s celebrate everyday heroes like Stop and Shop Assistant Manager Kevin Barcelos. When a shopper collapsed in the parking lot, Kevin quickly initiated CPR and provided care until emergency services arrived. He was honored with a Lifesaving Award.
