Brint Patrick, Executive Director for the Eastern Chapter of the American Red Cross of South Carolina
The American Red Cross of South Carolina is thrilled to announce a new Executive Director for the Lowcountry Chapter. This week, Brint Patrick began his role and will serve on the Senior Leadership Team for the South Carolina Region.
Patrick joins the team after eight years as the Executive Director of a ministry providing orphan care, healthcare, empowerment programs, and ministry in northern Uganda. In his previous role, Patrick facilitated the expansion of facilities and programs in Uganda and the USA and served as the primary touchpoint with donors and volunteers. Specifically, he directed the fundraising activities that yielded significant increases in donor-driven revenue and the number of active donors over his tenure.
"The South Carolina Region of the American Red Cross is pleased to welcome Brint to our team," said Rod Tolbert, Regional Chief Executive Officer. "His passion for service and commitment to our mission will help us better serve the communities that are in need throughout the Lowcountry."
As the Executive Director for the Lowcountry Chapter jurisdiction, Patrick will be the public face of the chapter and the important humanitarian mission of the Red Cross. Patrick will partner with civic and governmental leaders to keep our communities prepared for times of natural disasters like hurricanes. He will ensure the Lowcountry Chapter of the Red Cross stands ready to meet the needs of medical centers with constant availability of blood products collected through Red Cross Blood Drives and partner with local donors to raise funds and awareness for the many humanitarian relief services provided by the Red Cross.
"The Lowcountry Red Cross team makes a positive impact on residents in my own community every day," said Patrick. "I am honored to join this humanitarian organization and help continue the Chapter's great legacy of supporting people impacted by disasters, collecting lifesaving blood, serving our military and their families, and training our communities in lifesaving skills such as CPR and First Aid."
Last year in the Lowcountry Chapter, Red Cross volunteers provided care, food, hope, and shelter to more than 1,400 people who faced emergencies. The Lowcountry Chapter hosted more than 1,500 blood drives collecting more than 28,600 units of lifesaving blood. The accomplishments of the Lowcountry South Carolina Chapter are a product of the hard work and dedication of 440 local Red Cross volunteers in our community that Brint will work with hand in hand.
