South Carolina, April 22, 2026 – The American Red Cross of South Carolina is excited to announce a new Regional Volunteer Services Officer. Now over a week into her role, Kim Eller is serving the South Carolina region, supporting volunteers across the state. Kim brings more than 28 years of dedicated service with the American Red Cross, offering deep expertise in volunteer engagement, program management, operations, and mission-driven service delivery.
Recently serving as our Interim Regional Volunteer Services Officer, Kim has demonstrated exceptional leadership in volunteer recruitment, engagement, recognition, and strategic planning. Her extensive background includes prior service as a Regional Volunteer Services Officer, Chief Volunteer Administrator, Chief Chapter Operations Officer, Chief Chapter Services Officer, and Emergency Services Director where she held senior chapter leadership roles overseeing operations, human resources, budgeting, facilities, volunteer services, and disaster services across multi-county regions.
“Serving as the Regional Volunteer Services Officer for the South Carolina Region of the American Red Cross is truly an honor,” said Kim Eller. “I am continually inspired by the compassion, dedication, and selflessness of our volunteers, and I am grateful for the opportunity to support their incredible service as they make a lasting difference in our communities every day.”
Last year, the American Red Cross of South Carolina volunteers provided care, food, hope, and shelter to more than 5,000 people who faced emergencies. The Red Cross of South Carolina responded to more than 1,600 local disasters and distributed more than $1,000,000 in direct financial assistance to those impacted. These accomplishments of the Red Cross of South Carolina are a product of the hard work and dedication of 3,368 local Red Cross volunteers in our community.
