Disaster-workers from the Palmetto SC Region of the American Red Cross are deploying to Louisiana to help communities that are preparing for the impacts of Tropical Storm Cristobal.
The number of volunteers deployed may change over the coming days but there are three volunteers deploying Friday and Saturday. All volunteers have been screened and show no symptoms of COVID-19.
Meliza Ford and Jeffery Roediger, from the Lowcountry Chapter, will deploy to assist and support the Disaster Mental Health teams. Guillaume Aghroum, from the Upstate of SC Chapter, will deploy to assist in the sheltering operations.
The Palmetto SC Region of the Red Cross stands ready to send additional disaster-workers, as requested.
