This week’s CSTR spotlight shines a light on board member Lapeteria Jordan from the
Greater San Antonio Chapter.

Air Force Veteran Lapeteria, affectionally known as Pepper, has served as a board member for two years, but her relationship with the Red Cross goes back a couple decades.

Pepper first connected with the Red Cross in 2005 while living in Arizona, teaching First Aid and CPR and supporting Service to the Armed Forces (SAF).

Now, in 2025, Pepper has extended her talents and efforts beyond just the military community. As co-chair for diversity and equal opportunity programs in her Red Cross Chapter as a board member, Pepper says, “I just like helping people.” 

As a woman of strong faith, this dedicated volunteer is well-qualified to advance the Red Cross mission. Thank you for your compassion, Pepper!
