This week’s CSTR spotlight shines a light on board member Lapeteria Jordan from the Greater San Antonio Chapter.
Air Force Veteran Lapeteria, affectionally known as Pepper, has served as a board member for two years, but her relationship with the Red Cross goes back a couple decades.
Indeed, Pepper introduced herself to the Red Cross in 2005.
“I was stationed at Luke Air Force Base in Arizona and began to volunteer in the area of mental health,” Pepper says.
She served as a Service to the Armed Forces (SAF) teammate.
Now, in 2025, Pepper has extended her talents and efforts beyond just the military community. As co-chair for diversity and equal opportunity programs in her Red Cross Chapter, Pepper says, “I just like helping people.”
As a woman of strong faith, this dedicated volunteer is well-qualified to advance the CSTR mission. Thank you for your compassion, Pepper!
