Join Us to Celebrate Our Local Heroes!
Join us Thursday, March 12, 2026, at 7:45 a.m. for the annual American Red Cross of Wisconsin Northwest Heroes Breakfast.
The Red Cross of Wisconsin is seeking nominations for the 22nd annual Northwest Heroes Breakfast, honoring individuals whose courage, dedication, and humanitarian efforts have made a positive impact in their communities.
If you know a local hero in northwest Wisconsin, consider nominating them for recognition. Nominating a hero is free and can be completed quickly and easily online. For more details on nomination guidelines or to submit your nomination, visit: Northwest Heroes Nominations.
All nominations must be submitted by December 31, 2025.
Honorees will be celebrated across seven categories: Blood Services Hero, Community Impact Hero, Emergency Response Hero, Good Samaritan Hero, Hero of a Lifetime, Military Hero and Youth & Young Adult Hero. For complete category descriptions please click here.
Nominees may come from any of the Red Cross Northwest Wisconsin Chapter’s 17 counties:
Ashland, Barron, Bayfield, Burnett, Chippewa, Clark, Dunn, Eau Claire, Pierce, Pepin, Polk, Price, Rusk, Sawyer, St. Croix, Taylor and Washburn.
Heroes are nominated by the community and selected by an awards committee made up of local leaders. Honorees are chosen based on how well their actions reflect the values of the Red Cross humanitarian mission and the positive, lasting impact they have on the community.
