CASPER, Wyo. (April 8, 2025) – The American Red Cross Service to the Armed Forces (SAF) team will be attending the inaugural Wyoming Veteran Services Symposium. This event will take place April 10-11 at Casper Community College, 125 College Dr., in Casper. On April 11, at 8 a.m., the Red Cross team will present the variety of Red Cross services and programs designed to support military families, veterans, and their caregivers.
Attendees will learn about the SAF Hero Care Network's Critical Community Services program, which connects military-connected clients with vital community resources, such as financial assistance, housing, and mental health support. Additionally, the American Red Cross Military and Veteran Caregiver Network, which offers peer support to caregivers of all eras and relationships will be explored. The session will also cover behavioral health and wellness courses aimed at building resilience and managing trauma for service members, veterans, and their families. Other topics of discussion include partnership with regional VAs and disaster preparedness courses and CPR training aimed at strengthening the military community’s ability to respond to emergencies.
The American Red Cross has supported military members and families since our founding. Today, we continue to serve the military community – from the moment a service member takes their oath to the time they're navigating life as a veteran. Visit redcross.org/saf to learn more.
