CHEYENNE, Wyo. (March 16, 2026) — The American Red Cross of Wyoming is opening a disaster recovery assistance center in Cheyenne this week, offering recovery assistance to those who qualify and have been affected by the March 12-13 wind storm in southeastern Wyoming.
The center will be open on Tuesday, March 17, and Thursday, March 19, from 1-5 p.m. at The Salvation Army of Cheyenne, 601 E. 20th St., Cheyenne, WY 82001. No appointment is necessary to visit the center.
Anyone affected by the disaster can receive Disaster Action Team assistance from the Red Cross, including health, mental health, spiritual care and casework services.
Those visiting the center should bring ID and proof of address if their ID does not list their current address. The proof of address can be a utility bill or any other official document listing their name and the disaster affected address.
If you do not have ID and proof of address, the Red Cross can still help and work through other options we have to verify ID and address.
