The American Red Cross of Alaska is committed to providing relief to victims of disasters and helping people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies. You can help support this Red Cross commitment by making a financial donation. Now more than ever, your gift supports the urgent needs of our lifesaving mission.
The American Red Cross of Alaska is pleased to share the 2022 Real Heroes Awards with you; a showcase of Alaskan heroes doing what they do best – showing us that anybody can make a difference in the lives of others, either by saving a life one day or tirelessly working each and every day for the benefit of Alaskan communities.
Each year for the past 22 years, we have gathered for a Real Heroes event and celebrated the outstanding members of our community. We have captured the inspirational stories of heroes in 10 different categories to share with you! At our upcoming reception, you will also hear from our award sponsors, learn important preparedness tips, and hear more about the lifesaving work of the Red Cross.
We hope you will join us to witness incredible people doing incredible things – saving loved ones, coworkers, and complete strangers. We hope these stories inspire you to consider what you might do in the face of emergencies, or even what you might do in your day-to-day life to make a difference in the lives of others.
We encourage you to share these stories with those you care about – we hope they bring you inspiration and positivity during these challenging times.
For more information on how to attend the in-person event, please contact Jara Mouracade at 907-802-1239 or jara.mouracade@redcross.org.
