In January, three Nots Logistics employees, Curtis Matlock, Bernard Dickneite, and Nichole Groff, sprang into action when a coworker collapsed during a medical emergency at the Nashville, Illinois facility. Using skills learned through Red Cross CPR and First Aid training, the team called 911, retrieved an AED, and delivered lifesaving care that revived their colleague before EMS arrived.

Recently, the American Red Cross returned to Nots Logistics to honor the trio for their extraordinary courage. Matlock received the Lifesaving Award for Professional Responders, the highest award given by the Red Cross to someone who saves a life using Red Cross training.

Dickneite and Groff received Certificates of Extraordinary Personal Action for their decisive actions during the crisis.

Nots Logistics President & CEO Andy Kirchner praised the team’s bravery, saying their actions “truly exemplify our company’s culture of caring.”

Red Cross Executive Director Dawn Morris added that their quick response “reflects the Red Cross mission in action—helping people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies when lives are at stake.”
