The American Red Cross of Illinois is proud to announce the appointment of Diane Earll, President of the Ceilings Division and Senior Vice President at USG Corporation, as Board Chair of the Greater Chicago Chapter Board of Directors. Earll succeeds Joyce Trimuel, who served as board chair for the past two years, helping advance the Red Cross mission across the region through her dedicated leadership and service.
A member of the Greater Chicago Chapter Board since 2019, Earll has been an active leader and advocate for the Red Cross, serving on numerous committees and volunteering at key fundraising and community engagement events. Most recently, she served as Vice Chair of the Board, working alongside board leadership to advance strategic priorities and strengthen partnerships throughout the Greater Chicago community.
"Diane has demonstrated exceptional leadership and an unwavering commitment to the Red Cross mission throughout her years of service on our board," said Kellie O'Connell, CEO of the American Red Cross of Illinois. "Her strategic perspective, collaborative approach and passion for serving others make her an outstanding choice to lead our Greater Chicago Chapter Board."
Since joining USG in 1992, Earll has held various leadership roles within the company, including chief human resources officer, vice president of human resources and organizational effectiveness, vice president of national accounts, senior director of retail sales, senior director of product management, and senior director of customer service. This diverse background allows Earll to approach challenges with a unique perspective, drawing on insights from across USG's operations to develop innovative solutions for customers.
"I am honored to serve as Board Chair of the Greater Chicago Chapter of the American Red Cross," Earll said. "Over the past several years, I have had the privilege of witnessing firsthand the incredible impact the Red Cross makes in our communities every day. I look forward to working alongside our dedicated board members, volunteers and leadership team to further strengthen our mission of helping people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies."
